Solar Shield Privacy Policy

Solar Shield is a solar maintenance membership offered by Solar Scapes, 1201 NW Chrisman Farm Rd Unit B, Grain Valley, MO 64029 (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information solarshieldmidwest.com collects, why, and the choices you have.
Information You Give Us
When you send the founding member form we receive your first and last name, email address, phone number, service ZIP code, the plan you picked, your system size, who installed your system, and your primary equipment manufacturer. Solar Scapes uses these details to respond to your request, confirm your plan and pricing, arrange service, and answer your questions. By submitting the form, you authorize Solar Scapes to contact you by phone, text or email about your request and starting a Solar Shield membership, even if you leave optional marketing unchecked. We do not sell your information or share it with other businesses for their marketing.
The form is delivered through Basin, a form-processing service that processes the submission on our behalf and forwards it to our team. Basin also saves and displays submission metadata, including the IP address, location and information about the browser and device used. Basin may also use spam protection to block automated submissions.
Cloudflare Turnstile checks browser and network signals to help block automated submissions. It loads when you approach the form, even if analytics are off. Basin validates its verification token before accepting your request. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Marketing Communications
If you select the optional marketing checkbox, you agree to receive marketing texts, including automated messages, and emails from Solar Scapes at the phone number and email address provided. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Marketing consent is separate from your service request and is not required to request service or purchase a membership.
You can stop marketing texts by replying STOP and unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link. You can also contact us to change your choice. We keep your choice and the consent wording with your request.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, we measure how the site is used so we can improve it. We use:
- Plausible Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measure visits, page views and site performance without analytics cookies.
- Microsoft Clarity, which uses cookies to produce heatmaps and session replays showing how pages are used. Clarity masks text you type into form fields.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site.
Your Choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.
- Open Privacy Choices in the footer on any page to turn off Plausible, Cloudflare Web Analytics and Microsoft Clarity in this browser. Analytics are enabled by default only for visits identified as being in the United States. They stay off when location is unknown, outside the United States, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control.
- Your opt-out is saved in browser storage and a first-party preference cookie. You can reset it in Privacy Choices; Global Privacy Control still takes priority. Turning analytics off reloads the page if tracking has started and clears first-party Clarity cookies where possible. It does not undo data already sent, delete form or CRM records, or change your marketing choice.
- You can opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP, and unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link. You can also contact us to change your choices or ask us to stop contacting you.
- You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
How Long We Keep Information
Basin is configured to retain submission records for 3,650 days before removing them from its servers. Solar Scapes transfers submission information into our CRM for secure management of customer records and retains those records unless you request deletion. Contact us to request deletion of your submission and CRM information. Analytics providers retain their data according to their own settings. Your browser’s analytics opt-out cookie lasts one year; the local-storage preference remains until it is reset or browser data is cleared.
Children
This site is meant for homeowners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
